Personalized Learning- How students meet this requirement
Educational Plan and Profile
All students at Mountainside are assigned to an Advisory class. In Advisory, students will complete a variety of activities that help support their personal, career and post-high school goals.
Extended Application (Senior Project)
Seniors will either complete a Career Pathway or IB Diploma. Students apply and extend knowledge and skills in new situations related to the student’s personal and career interests and post-high school goals.

Community Service: Students are required to complete and document 40 hours of community service. This requirement is pro-rated at 10 hours per year so students of the class of 2020 will only need 30 hours.
Career Pathway Completion: Students not completing the IB Diploma will instead complete a 2.0 credit course of study in at least one Career Pathway. Each Career Pathway will include an opportunity to complete a capstone course within which students will complete their Senior Project. This project provides a meaningful, culminating experience for seniors, gives students the opportunity to showcase their accomplishments, develop self-confidence and demonstrate high levels of competence, as well as foster interaction among students, teachers and our community. Some of the many advantages of pursuing a career pathway include:
